DISCLOSURE MESSAGE: Testimonials are tricky things. People either cringe at the thought of coming up with something to say or only write good things in fear of hurting your feelings.Still, testimonials are crucial in today's business environment since more and more people are ignoring advertisers claims and instead relying on comments/reviews written by consumers like themselves. I know I do. How about you? The comments written below come from clients who were asked to describe the problem(s) they were having that prompted them to contact me. They were also asked about their expectations, any benefits they received from working with me, and whether they would recommend my services to others. From Emily: “When I first contacted Kathi, I didn't have a full grasp of the workspace for InDesign. I also, didn't feel comfortable setting up a document on my own, since I had never really been taught. I was just always copy/pasting, or "saving as" to get by and get a document set up... but really, in the end, this was taking a while. And wasting time. I would take from the documents a previous employee set up, and then try to make them my own. I was never educated on how to just create something on my own, causing a lot of blood, sweat, and tears.” Before our first training session I was concerned that she would go really fast, and talk about things I knew nothing about. But when she arrived she went at my pace. What I liked most about the service is Kathi's easy-going, non-panicked attitude. She is very comfortable with her skills and knowledge, and there was a very calm approach from her regarding fixing some of the problems I had made for myself regarding InDesign. She also works with the client from a "print-shop" angle, which is a big plus for Quina Grundhoefer Architects, since we do a lot of printing. She is very skilled and knowledgeable about printing and how to set things up for maximum productivity. She knows a lot about design. So not only has she been teaching me the basics and beyond of Photoshop, and InDesign, but she includes resourceful literature related to layout and design. One more benefit is that she is very accessible. She returns calls, emails, and is punctual to all appointments. I would definitely recommend her service to businesses, organizations, fine arts groups, and even an individual wanting to further their experience and skill in the world of graphic design, writing, and marketing.
